Goldcrest High’s  academic and co-curricular activities aim at nurturing creativity; fostering observation, inquiry and critical reflection; building confidence and self-esteem; shaping character and inculcating abiding values of tolerance and compassion; and appreciating diversity and internationalism.

Education is not just about achieving individual laurels. It is also about recognizing the need for developing humaneness in the individual.  It must imbibe in children a sense of care and concern for society and the environment.

Our unique philosophy guides our programme development and student learning. Our study programmes aim to effectively raise levels of attainment and enable each pupil to fulfil his/her potential. Children direct their own learning through inquiry. In different ways, they are engaged in open-ended, relevant, student-centred activities that guide them to explore elements of different disciplines in a holistic manner and not merely as individual subjects like English, Hindi, Marathi, Math, etc. Integration and inter-relatedness of disciplines are key features of the Goldcrest High .
The teaching-learning process is theme-based and it naturally culminates, at the end of each term, into a “Theme Presentation”.

The main curricular areas in the Pre-Primary and Primary sections are Language, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Expressive Arts, Physical Education, Information and Communication Technology (I.C.T.).  
A continuous, comprehensive evaluation ensures that the assessment is a 360° process that covers all aspects of a child’s learning at school.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The co-curricular programme is designed to enhance the children’s overall personalities and thus prepare them not only to excel in their areas of interest and skill but also to adapt quickly to changing times and meet their challenges with élan.
These activities further nurture and  widen their   imaginations -  be it in the field of music, dance, fine arts, sports, gardening, reading,  writing, or any other.

Clubs and societies channelize the latent potential in pupils into constructive areas of creativity, research, discovery, and community service.

HOUSES
All pupils are allotted a House – there are four, viz. Urvi (Green), Vaari (Blue), Agni (Red) and Marut (Yellow).
Most activities, especially on the sports field, lead to Inter-House competitions, which result in keenly fought matches that bring out the best of team work as well as individual excellence.
